Welcome to Year 2!
St Bernadette
Hello and welcome to Year 2.
In Year 2 we strive to make all children feel safe, secure and confident both in their learning and in their school life. We look forward to sharing our creative curriculum with the children including our topics: the Weather, the Great Fire of London, oceans and seas as well as looking at how seaside holidays have changed over time. In Science the children will look at topics such as living things and their habitats, plants, animals and the uses of everyday materials.
Through our Floppy Phonics programme we will continue to support the children’s phonic knowledge in order to create a smooth transition from Year 1 and prepare the children for their end of year SATS.
Throughout the course of the year, the Year 2 RE topics will include: Beginnings, Signs and Symbols and Preparations.
